Hello! I am the current MLA Children's Services Division Vice President. I am a professional children's librarian that has worked in several Maryland public libraries in a variety of roles. I have also worked in museum services with a focus on early childhood museum education and early literacy. I have been involved in ALA and NAEYC conferences but this will be my first MLA Conference! It is great to be part of MLA, and I encourage everyone to get involved in some capacity. On a personal note, I love sci-fi, mystery/suspense, picture books, travel, crochet, swimming, kayaking, my husband, and our house full of fuzzies (not necessarily in that order). Fun fact: I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali (not to be confused with Bali--very different).
