Join Andrea Berstler, as she moderates a panel discussion about how libraries in Maryland have weathered a variety of challenges in the past, and how this can be applied to the current economic, social and political climate. Join the panelists as they discuss their experiences and views on library advocacy in challenging times. Participants will leave with knowledge of the state budget process, several strategies for successfully advocating for libraries at the state and local level, and will learn how to design a successful approach for library advocacy during economic and other crises. This program is worth 1 contact hour of continuing education.
