Let's Get Graphic: Collecting, Showcasing and Using Graphic Novels in Libraries and Higher Education
Allisa Beck and Jamie Stanfield offer an in-depth workshop about collecting and implementing graphic novels in the academic library. Beck gives attendees an overview of the process beginning with faculty/student needs assessment, showcasing collected works, and Stanfield shows how libraries help instructors and students infuse graphic works into courses and implement library programs. Participants will learn how Stanfield incorporates graphic medicine for nursing and allied health classes and how all libraries can offer the community at large, ways to increase health literacy through graphic medicine.
This program is worth 1 contact hour of continuing education.

Panel members will share their experiences as homeschool parents, how they have seen the changes for them as homeschool families from COVID-19, how libraries have helped with the impact of COVIC-19, and what more libraries could do for homeschool families. Audience members will also have an opportunity to ask questions of the panel members.
