Integrating Difficult Conversations Into Programming

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Library workers have an amazing opportunity to model anti-bias conversations for families and, in the process, affirm that all families belong at the library. Mary Jeanne Brown, N. Yasmin Bromir and Jillian Bleggi, will present on kids' understandings of race, bias in the library environment, and ways to interrupt that bias during library programming. Resources shared will include the anti-bias education framework, and practiced tips on taking the first steps toward integrating difficult conversations into library programming.
This program is worth 1 contact hour of continuing education.
